The Liberty Head Double Eagle was the first $20 Gold coin, created under the Gold Act of 1849. It was issued from 1849 to 1907 and designed by James B. Longacre.

I enjoyed the video clip and even though I have been collecting pre-1933 Gold for almost twenty years I learned some interesting things about the start up of the Double Eagle program in 1849. A good video on my favorite coin in Gold.
