The Peace Dollar was introduced at the end of 1921, struck in high relief. The coins were designed by Anthony De Francisci depicting Liberty on the obverse and a perched eagle on the reverse with the word “Peace.” The relief of the coin was lowered in 1922. The low relief coins were issued from 1922 to 1928 and 1934 to 1935.
